For everyone
Accessibility Statement
What we do to make this directory usable with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification, or no vision at all — and how to tell us when something gets in your way.

Our commitment
Military families close on homes while deployed, mid-move, and on a phone with one bar of signal. This site has to work for the person doing the signing alone, on any device, with or without a mouse, and with any assistive technology. We treat access as part of the mission, not as a feature we add later.
Standards we design to
We design and check MilitaryTitle.com against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, and we build mobile-first with readable text sizes and strong contrast throughout.
What we have built in
- A skip link that jumps straight to the page content, and full keyboard navigation with a clearly visible focus indicator.
- Real headings, landmarks, and page structure, so screen readers can move through a page in a sensible order.
- Contrast that meets WCAG AA for body text and interface elements, checked on every redesign.
- Text that reflows and zooms to 200 percent without losing content, and layouts that work from a small phone to a wide monitor.
- Motion that can be turned off: if your device asks for reduced motion, entrance animations are disabled.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and decorative images hidden from screen readers.
- Forms with visible labels, plain-language instructions, and errors that say what to fix.
- Tap targets large enough to use with a thumb on a phone.
What we know is not perfect
We would rather be honest than claim a perfect score. Provider-supplied details on a listing are written by the provider, so we cannot always control the clarity of that text. Some images we license or generate carry descriptions we wrote from the picture rather than from the photographer. We are still testing across more browsers and screen reader combinations, and older pages may lag newer ones.
Tell us what is in your way
If any part of this site is hard to use, email support@militarytitle.com with the page address, the device and browser you are on, and any screen reader, magnifier, or switch device you use. We aim to reply within five business days, we will tell you how we plan to fix it, and we will help you complete what you were trying to do in the meantime.
If you need information from us in another format — larger print, plain text, or a read-aloud summary of a guide — ask and we will provide it.
How we check our work
Every redesign includes keyboard-only walkthroughs, zoom and reflow checks, contrast review, and a screen reader pass on the main flows: searching the directory, reading a provider profile, sending an inquiry, and applying for a listing. We also use automated checks, but manual testing is what we trust, because tools catch only a fraction of real barriers.
Third-party tools and independent review
We have not yet commissioned a formal third-party audit. If you are an accessibility professional or an organization that tests public-facing sites, we welcome a conversation — write to us and we will arrange access for review.
This statement
We review this statement whenever the site changes materially, and at least once a year. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
Need something from us right now and the site is fighting you? Email support@militarytitle.com and we will help you get it done by another route.
